Most major tourist attractions use tour buses from Waikiki to shuttle people to their place. The Queen Liliuokulani Hotel has a stop that is frequented by almost everything and is a block away.
By Car: Via H-1 Freeway take the H-1 Freeway East Honolulu Exit. Remain on the H-1 Freeway headed East for approximately 10 miles. Take Exit 25A (King Street Exit) located on the right side of the freeway. Once off the freeway, you will come to a 4-way intersection. Proceed straight through the intersection (Chevron gas station and Foodland Supermarket will be to your right). Stay in the right lane; this lane is a “right turn only” and will take you to Kapahulu Avenue. Make a right turn on Kuhio Avenue, then another right on Makee Road. Our property is located on the corner of Makee Road and Kuhio Ave.
By Taxi: Average taxi fare to/from HNL airport to Waikiki is $40-45 one way.
By Uber/Lyft: Average fare to/from HNL airport to Waikiki is $23-40 one way
By Shuttle: You can reserve a shuttle from HNL airport to Waikiki for about $18 per person, one way
Might consider bringing extra room for souvenirs and gifts.
No change for daylight savings. Hawaii is 2 or 3 hours earlier than California depending on time of year.
