Great location!

Very efficient
The studio apartment style is compact and very efficient. The units are very clean, the shower excellent and the bed comfortable.....what more is there to need? There are few places left in Waikiki that you can afford to do longstays for a reasonable price. The views of Diamond Head are superb, it"s handy to the bus and an easy little walk to the beach.Kevin Clayton

Convenient location
Our experience with the host and the place was great. The location was very convenient to our purpose for travel. It has a beautiful view of Diamond Head, walking distance to the beach, and walking distance to most shopping places. What an absolutely wonderful stay!
This home was ABSOLUTELY amazing! The space is so will thought out, the host is incredibly kind, and has thought of EVERYTHING for get guests. The space will provide all essentials for trips of all lengths, we stayed a week. Each day we found new amenities that really showed that the host knows exactly what she is doing!! I have personally stayed by Waikiki Beach 3 times now, and this spot 100% provided the best value, comfort, location and more. With all my heart I will suggest this home for the perfect stay in Waikiki!Hugh Luong

We enjoyed ourselves immensely
Amazing place right in Waikiki. The kitchen layout was clever. The drying rack folds down. The extra shelf folds out. The balance was great for dining and a breeze. On Saturday's there's a farmers market right next door. And you are steps from the Biki bike share station. Miou was around throughout the week to entertain questions. We will definitely return.George Martin

Awesome view!
Awesome view of Diamond Head. Blocks from Waikiki, and offers beach towels, chairs, etc. to bring with you. The bed was comfortable, too. You can hear the traffic, but I slept well. Definitely would stay again!Ann Heckel

Super clean!
Miou's place was great! Location wise, it's awesome, it's situated a short 3 min walk from the Waikiki beach. It also is near all sorts of food and about 15 mins walk from the heart of Waikiki. We opted to use the Biki bike rentals which were conveniently in front of the property. The room itself was super clean, bathroom was great with hot water that came on almost immediately too! There was also an amazing view of Diamond head on our balcony. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Honolulu again!Shaun Teo

Great winter stay

Great place to work
Miou was absolutely great to work with - she helped me coordinate through a complicated business trip and was always responsive and hospitable. The apartment was a perfect little studio. I was there for work and it was everything I needed - a smartly outfitted kitchen, economical use of space, comfortable bed, great balcony, a quiet street, great light, and an amazing view of Diamond Head. Plus, while it was quiet and great for sleeping, it is also very close to the beach (~3 blocks) and all of the action of Waikiki. Best of both worlds. Thank you for making our stay so excellent!
Miou’s place was so excellent. The location was amazing. It is directly across the street from the Honolulu zoo and less than a five minute walk to the beach. We walked to the beach every single day because it was so close and convenient. It was also a short Uber ride to many popular locations. The room itself was a perfect size and very clean. Miou is available on site at most times and she is very friendly and helpful. Overall we LOVED our stay and would absolutely choose to stay here again should we return to Honolulu.Sam Cook

We loved our stay
It was a great stay for my wife, my two year old kid and me, This is a great place, is cozy and with an awesome view to diamond head, every morning the sun comes in to the room and the blue skies just look beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the appliances are sufficient to cook your meals, they even have a pitcher with a water filter for your drinking water. There are plenty of towels, and the tub is very nice with three different settings, tub, shower head, and full body shower heads. Inside the lobby there is a keurig machine which I found very convenient, every morning after my run I just stop by it to have fresh coffee. The only comment I have is due to the the size of the bed, the space to go to the lanai (balcony) was very reduced, the place it’s a bit smaller than what it looks in the pictures, but other than that, the place is a great place to stay. I totally recommend it, it is in a very convenient location, very quiet at night, only a few blocks from Waikiki beach, and just across the zoo.Rony Vega

Furnished with so many touches
Miou was an attentive and responsive host. She promptly responded to texts or emails and always made me feel like her top priority. The space itself was furnished with many thoughtful touches like USB hubs which could charge up to 9 devices, plenty of hangars and drawer space, and great kitchen supplies for home cooked meals. A+!!! If you want a place that is up to date on decor and amenities this is the place to go! It may not be the right place for the first time Waikiki visitor but if you know the area and could do away with touristy vibes of hotels then this is he place for you!Woody Pak

I highly recommend it!
Miou's place is about 5-10 minutes walk to Waikiki beach with a clear view of Diamond Head from the patio. It is very convenient yet tucked in a quieter corner. Parking was available and much cheaper compared to parking elsewhere. The place is clean with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. We cooked many meals there without any problem. The table is extendable and there are little nice amenities throughout the place. There are beach chairs, boards, and fins you can borrow for free. There's always someone in the office during the day time so that was nice as well. Miou is responsive and very cordial. This is definitely the best value place to stay in Waikiki and I highly recommend it!Peggy Fan

Great place and great value
Miou and staff were effective, pleasant and helpful. We had no ice for our rum punches the first night (oh, no!) so they cheerfully supplied some from their own freezer. The room was smallish but very clean with convenient features that maximized space. There is a sofa and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the balcony with views over the Honolulu Zoo to Diamond Head. If your neighbors use their balcony, you get to know them as the balconies are right next to each other. Just a few blocks to the beach and they have mats, floaties and flippers you can borrow. Not in the middle of Waikiki hustle-bustle, but easy access to it. Right next to the bus stop which we used to get to/from the airport. A great place and good value!Mary Manzar

Love it!
We are extremely happy with this property. It had everything that we needed! Kitchen was well equipped. (Dining and cooking utensils, dish and hand soap). Lots of towels and two beach towels. There are complimentary small shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash and lotion which is good for the first day if you didnt bring it with you or didnt have the chance to go buy it yet. One negative is that shower head id very low, and if you are taller than 5'8" it might be uncomfortable to take a shower, but its minor compared to all the positives. We were also able to use beach supplies! There is a coin operated laundry which came im handy on our last day. Smart TV which allows you to connect to nexflix if you have an account, we didnt use it since we were out exploring the island for the most time. Location wise it couldn't be more perfect. Its overlooking beautiful diamond head, leaving all the tall buildings behind. Only few blocks from the beach. Loooooots of stores. Espeacially ABC stores to get some souvenirs and basic products such as water eggs, bacon etc. Overall we did a lot of hiking and snorkeling and used the bus system. One of the bus stops is right in front of the building. And there is also a farmers market on saturday from 8am to 2 pm right in front of our building. We were able to check out at 1pm instrad of 11am which was great, we had a chance to see honolulu zoo before we left home. 5 stars!!!!Alena Subbotina

Perfect for our family
This unit was perfect just the right fit for our family. This was our first trip to Hawaii with my wife and 17 month daughter. The unit was clean and as displayed in the pictures. The summary of amenities were accurate. Miou was a fantastic host and communication was exceptional throughout our 8 day stay. She offered recommendations and accommodated all of our needs. She was very professional and friendly. The beach was very close (2 blocks away), so it was convenient for us with having a 17 month daughter. The unit was clean and well stocked with all essentials from the kitchen to the restroom. Would definitely recommend booking with Miou. This place is amazing!
This place is amazing! It's about a 3 minute walk to the closest beach and close to a lot of different restaurants and shops. The room is better than most hotel rooms that I've stayed at (not that we spent much time there!). Miou is just a phone call away if u need anything. The room was fantastic
I was very pleased with this place. The rooms are recently updated and are wonderfully appointed. The rooms won't really have a view of the ocean, but they have a commanding view of Diamond Head. They overlook a small park next to an elementary school, and from there the zoo, Kapiolani Park and Diamond Head. Being off Kapahulu, it is really easy to get in and out of the area with minimum fuss, which is useful if you have a car and want to see the rest of the island. You won't get that if you stay in central Waikiki, where you will have to fight traffic to get in and out. You're about two blocks from the ocean, and are on the park end of Waikiki. Our host was great, prior to our stay she answered all my questions very promptly.Jason Surace

We had an amazing stay
This was my 4th time on Oahu and staying near the Waikiki area. Hands down our stay here were one of the best. Miou was soo accommodating and helped make our stay more memorable. She really was a great host. Also, the location is perfect, it is on the quieter side of Waikiki, great view of Diamond Head, a block from the beach and all the restaurants, without the noise. Rooms were clean and well kept and offered everything you need to make you feel at home. I would highly recommend and I will return for my next trip.Jullian Loo

Our stay was great!
This is our new favorite Waikiki place. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette worked very well for us as well. The unit also had a great view of Diamond Head. All our experience was very posititve
Our stay in this condo was lovely. The most important thing is the location; just two short blocks from the beach; also the view is spectacular; when you wake up the first thing you see is Diamond Head in front of you!. About the apartment is a modern suite with kitchen, the décor is pretty, clean and makes a nice private place to relax after a long day of adventure; also the building is safe with laundry, and elements to go to the beach that you can take also there is free Kona coffee at the lobby. Miou was also a great host, and communication with her was quick and easy she was ready to help us whenever we needed her; also she allowed us to stay a little bit late when check out. For sure we will come back and will recommend it to my friends.David Daza

This place was great!
Close to Waikiki beach and everything you need in the city but still has the feel of nature overlooking the zoo and the park. Beautiful view of Diamond Head Crater to wake up to every morning and so enjoyable to sit out on the wonderful lanai and drink cups of coffee made in the on-site kitchenette (saved a ton of money not eating out all of the time) and watch the sunrise. Wish I could attach pictures to this review! Also the owners were great about making sure all of our need were met - 5 stars for sure!!Mark H

Super accommodation in super location
We stayed for a month and had everything we needed. We normally stay in a hotel but as we were staying longer this time it suited us perfectly to do our own thing. We had a car which we were able to park on-site but the location is also just perfect for walking to the beach and shops. The washing machine/dryer on the ground floor made life nice and easy. There were also beach chairs & other equipment that we were able to borrow. Definitely would recommend this place!Jenny S

The location was perfect for us - beautiful view of Diamond Head and close to the quieter end of Waikiki Beach. Nice & Clean Studio with excellent view of Diamond Head
The room was very clean with great condition. A/C was worked nicely & quiet. Had a kitchen with good size refrigerator It was perfect location for us to dine, shop, going to beach. It was so easy to go around Waikiki area. We enjoyed a wonderful Diamondhead View from our room. The building was well maintained & secured. There was a coin laundry be the lobby area(detergent was provided by the property-it was great help!) The Honolulu zoo & Kapiolani park are just across the street. The local farmer's market on Sat morning while we stayed at Condo. Miou was so kind & helpful and very welcoming. We could get quick response from her every time we have any questions. Hidden Gem at Waikikin
My husband and toddler son stayed here for 8 nights, and we were very satisfied with each night. The property is managed by Miou, and she was friendly, thoughtful and helpful when she went the extra mile to help me find a doctor when my son got sick (URI). The pictures that are posted are accurate, so the view is relaxing and the location is quiet, and the building has high security. The air conditioner was quiet and worked nicely, shower water pressure was excellent and mattress was comfortable. There are tons of places to eat within walking distance. Very happy we found this place!
Stayed for a week at this condo and had an excellent time. It is so close to shops, restaurants and the beach. We stayed someplace else for the first half of our trip but this place was much nicer and cleaner. The bus stops are so close you don't need a car but they do provide parking at a very reasonable rate. The view of Diamond Head was perfect. The bed was so comfortable my husband wish he had the same one at home. The stove was an induction cooktop but I never used it. The building manager, Miou was very hospitable and accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay here again.Shannon K

Perfect!
Everything we wanted and more! When staying anywhere for 3 weeks at a time you need someplace to feel like "home" and this was just that! The building itself was secure, had nice views of Diamond Head, easy access to the beach and had parking. Miou (building manager) is fantastically accommodating! Excellent property for the price and location
I stayed here as a single person for a week in November. The unit has everything that you need for a single person or couple. There is a large bed, large flat-screen TV, kitchenette, and a small balcony. The unit is across the street from the Honolulu zoo, and about 2 blocks from Kuhio beach, which is protected by a man-made wavebreak. Although I had a rental car, I could possibly see exploring Oahu by bus from this location as there is a bus stop just outside the door and from what I saw, bus service on Oahu is frequent and extensive. Miou, the property manager, was very helpful with late check in and was very prompt to refund my deposit at the end of the my stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I return to Honolulu.Alex K

Even better than expected!
Miou, the property manager, was so personable and accommodating. She helped us book our place the night before, and made everything so easy. We stayed for 8 nights in October, and this property was perfect for a couple. The locations is fantastic, right at the end of the strip, across from the zoo and a 2-minute walk to the pier/beach. There is a bus stop right up front, and another around the corner with easy access anywhere you need. There is an app that can be downloaded for bus schedules. To explore the island, the best way to do it is on mopeds! There is a rental place a block away, and they are very affordable and easy to ride. The unit has everything you need to cook,if needed, even a BBQ area downstairs, and boards you can borrow for the beach. There is a Safeway about 1.5miles up the road, where groceries are better priced than the markets in the tourist area. You can Uber it for about $6. If you decide to walk it though, you will walk past Rainbow's and Ono Hawaiian Foods - 2 local restaurants with great, local food! Once you eat all of that and start feeling bad, you can take the running trail right outside the property, to the left towards Diamond Head. Great hill to run, with splendid views of the beach. Do it before 8 a.m. to avoid crowds and heat. Leaving to go home was the only unpleasant factor about our vacation! We will be back!Christopher J

Amazing! Best Location!!
My family and I stayed here for a week and couldn't have been happier! The location is extremely convenient (1.5 blocks from the beach), plenty of shops, restaurants, and things to see like the Honolulu Zoo, which is just across the street. There is also a farmer's market every Saturday, which is great if you want to cook or have fresh produce on hand. The room was very clean and had the essentials such as towels, extra sheets, and a few household items. The property manager, Miou, is extremely nice and very accommodating. She was there every morning to greet us and make sure our stay was enjoyable. We look forward to our next visit to Honolulu and can't wait for another stay at Makee properties.Gillian A

Location, Location, Location
My husband and I strayed for 10 days in July in this property and it was perfect for 2 people and close to everything, a block from Waikiki beach and plenty of restaurants and shopping. If you are planning to stay mostly in Honolulu you would not even need a car ,the bus stop is half a block away and it has many connections to pretty much everywhere on the island including a direct bus to the airport !The units are recently renovated ,clean and equipped with anything you need .The property manager Miou was great ,very friendly and took care of a stress free stay .She even arranged our pick-up from the airport ,recommended some restaurants and made sure we are happy. We even met the owner the last day we were there ,he was great ,too and let us store our luggage for a few extra hours !Gergana T

Perfect !
I stayed in this condo for 12 days in June of 2015. It was very comfortable and clean. The management was responsive and friendly. The Farmer's Market is right in front of the condo on Saturdays with excellent fresh produce and the kitchen is so convenient for making food. I snorkeled at San Souci beach many mornings. I would say it is about a 6 block walk. Lots of pretty fish there. The location is really perfect for enjoying the less crowded end of the beach and having easy access to the city. The bus stop right in front of the condo has the number 2 bus that will take you to Iolani Palace, Honolulu Art Museum and the Bishop House Museum on hot afternoons. The bus to Hanauma Bay is about 3 blocks on the beach side of the street. I would highly recommend you stay here and take the bus or walk. The trolleys are uncomfortable and expensive. I have no idea why people use them. The bus has a/c and costs $2.50, so if it is too far too walk just take the bus! I will definitely book this condo next time I am able to go to Honolulu.Elizabeth B

Best place to stay in Waikiki!!
Since 2010, we have visited Oahu yearly and have stayed for extended periods in Waikiki. We are so thankful that in 2014, we found Makee Properties. Not only is it affordable, but just an overall a great property at a great location just a block away from beach and close to restaurants, shops. The rooms are beautiful - updated and very clean! There is also a laundry facility within the property. We can give nothing but glowing remarks for this place. And Miou, who is the property manager, is just wonderful! Local resident doing a remodel..
I spent 6 weeks at the property this past April/May. The staff is excellent. Starting with Miou your property manager, and Ellen who does just about everything. Both very accommodating! Terrific location, very good security and very clean. Just bring your shorts and toothbrush, everything else is supplied! Its quiet!!! Loved the bed… RDKRalph D

Our Favorite Place in all the World!
My wife and I have stayed at this wonderful property for three months each year since 2011. This year we are staying four months. The location, the room, its close proximity to the beach, the views and a bus stop so near the building make it the ideal place to stay in Waikiki. We wouldn't stay anywhere else while in Hawaii! Perfect Waikiki Condo
We have stayed here for 10 weeks every winter for 6 years now. Perfect location, just a 5 minute walk to the beach in Waikiki. Close to shopping, restaurants, zoo, aquarium, park, live entertainment and bus stop. Beautiful view of Diamond Head from your private lanai. We found our extended 6 week stay at Makee Properties to exceed our expectation in almost every regard. The site manager Miou was courteous and quick to respond to any questions we had and Ellen was so nice! What can we say? Safe, clean, convenient to everything, recently updated, with an unbeatable view of Diamondhead! We were expecting a few let downs coming from the east coast and unable to see the property before we booked, but we can't say anything negative. We couldn't have been more pleased. What a wonderful place to stay!
An unobstructed view of Diamond Head, a short two-minute walk to Waikiki Beach, the first to board The Bus as it travels down Kuhio Avenue, a place to stay that is "top shelf" in all respects and two lovely ladies that manage and maintain this wonderful property. Without question, Makee Properties is a little piece of heaven right here in Waikiki.Barbara

We love the place!!!
We love to come here every winter for 2 months. Every studio in this small building has a beautiful view of Diamond Head from your own personal lanai. It is in a quieter area on the edge of Waikiki. Across from the park and zoo and just minutes to the Wall on Waikiki Beach. Perfect location for body boarding early every morning. Snorkeling is just as close at Queens Beach. We walk to literally everything in Waikiki, the beach, restaurants, hula shows, free live music at the hotels, Friday night fireworks, plus shopping galore including the International Marketplace. Ten studios all cozy, very clean, nicely decorated including everything you need, linens, towels plus a nice kitchen with a large refrigerator, stove top, microwave and everything else you need for cooking. We eat most of our meals at the patio set on the lanai. Each studio has a big comfy bed. Laundry facility is on the property. Miou and Ellen manage the building and they are wonderful !! Plan to stay here again!
We truly enjoyed our 3 month stay at Makee Properties during our visit to Hawaii!! The place was very clean and well kept, offered many amenities and was in the perfect location. At the edge of the Waikiki strip, just 1-2 blocks from the beach, it was very quiet with only a very short walk to all the downtown action. Huge thanks to Miou, the property manager, for her hospitality! We couldn't have asked for a better place to call home during our stay! A home away from home
We have stayed at Makee Properties twice now and have been very satisfied. It is right across from the zoo and two blocks from the beach. A home away from home with everything you would need. Very friendly helpful staff. Can't wait to go back next year.Susan and Terry
